Enterprise Project Management Solution
Tubedale’s Enterprise Project Management Solution is specifically designed to meet the needs of any size organisation, anywhere. Using the Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management (EPM) platform, Tubedale’s Enterprise Project Management Solution is a secure, yet flexible, ready-to-deploy hardware and software solution that can be tailored to allow companies to focus on the overall success of their projects, rather than on managing and supporting project infrastructure.
Tubedale, as a Microsoft Certified Partner, has enhanced the Microsoft Office Enterprise Project Management Solution (EPMS) to facilitate centralized resource and document management, strong coordination and standardization between projects and project managers, and in-depth enterprise-wide reporting. Tubedale has proven implementation experience on an enterprise scale that has resulted in demonstrated lower operating costs and increased effectiveness within the project management office. We have deployed the EPMS for geographically dispersed teams across a highly reliable secure data network platform on hundreds of sites simultaneously. Our unique implementation of the EPMS enables real time views into project activities and greater communication and collaboration amongst project management teams.
In combination with Microsoft’s EPM platform, Tubedale uses technologies such as Microsoft Project Professional 2003, Microsoft Project Server 2003 and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Services and builds upon a firm Microsoft SQL Server 2000 backend. The solution also provides comprehensive integration with the Microsoft Office System, including Microsoft Outlook to enable greater communication and collaboration across the enterprise.
The ability of Tubedale’s solution to simultaneously manage multiple projects or businesses enables the solution to be easily integrated and deployed within an organisation. If this level of support is not required, the solution can still be utilized to assist in the management of a specific one-time project.
TigerNet
TigerNet is Tubedale’s Secure Communications Network that enables the management, control and access to software applications and documents from anywhere in the world in a secure environment across an accredited system.
Users can access TigerNet via the Internet using a Citrix based “thin client” technology using any of the following means of connectivity:
- A wired connection, such as LAN or Broadband Ethernet
- A wireless connection, (WiFi)
- Dialup modem
- 3G/GPRS, where available
All software applications and documents are hosted on the TigerNet platform and are accessible from wherever the user connects. There are no useable facilities on TigerNet client workstations, all facilities are based on TigerNet Citrix servers and include:
- Email services
- File services
- Director services
- Microsoft Office facilities
- Microsoft SharePoint Collaboration
- Microsoft based Project Management tools
- Computer Aided Design viewers
Given that the only services available to the remote user are based on TigerNet itself, the network design includes load balancing, redundancy and fail-over capabilities.
Tubedale ensures the security of TigerNet by imposing effective application of security measures, including strong authentication to reduce the likelihood of a security issue occurring due to the system access coming through the Internet. Users wishing to utilize the TigerNet system must first log-in to a workstation using a TigerNet account identifier, and then proceed to using a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate and an RSA SecureID token, which generates a one-time value pass code that is used to strongly authenticate the user to TigerNet. The RSA pass code is unique to the user’s account and changes each time the user logs in for additional security.
Tubedale’s unique delivery mechanism enables it to deploy any commercial or proprietary software ranging from ‘off the shelf’ applications such as Microsoft Office and Exchange Server to Training Technologies ™ X_Trader™ Financial Futures trading platform. This mechanism has been used to deploy front-end trading software to traders simultaneously in multiple geographic regions on every financial futures exchange in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe. The system has also been used to deploy EPM software and manage highly sensitive project data on large scale government projects.
The TigerNet system provides a myriad of benefits to the user, including but not limited to the following:
- Storage, processing and communication of information in a secure environment, anywhere in the world.
- Risk Reduction - Laptops and PCs attached to the system do not hold any data, therefore, significantly reducing the level of risk of data loss.
- Document Control – The TigerNet system records each user that checks out a document.
- Print Control – All print ports are controlled on the local system and can only be opened by authorization, thereby preventing the copying and printing of documents.
- Remote Access – All users access the system remotely to obtain real-time access to centrally located documents that are housed in a secure environment.
- System Availability – The TigerNet system is a highly available system with no single point of failure. All system components are dually redundant further enhancing operating capabilities, while reducing opportunities for failure.
- Fully scalable to allow for additional users with no degradation in system performance.
- Storage area network capable of holding many Terabytes of data.
Tubedale can provide the TigerNet system either as a Standalone secure system or as a Hosted Service with full support including:
- Helpdesk
- Managing user accounts
- Document management and backup
Secure Data Storage Solutions
Tubedale can provide customers with secure data storage capabilities. Tubedale has the infrastructure to scale to tens of terabytes of back end fibre storage capacity. Utilizing HP Storage Area Network technology provides a stable RAID infrastructure for all of Tubedale’s back-end systems, including its Microsoft SQL 2000 clusters and Exchange Server 2003 clusters. Tubedale conducts complete, systematic backups and maintains offsite storage of data in accordance with UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) requirements to ensure data confidentiality and availability.
